Hello to all who happen to read this! My name is Finn. I recently got an idea for a serial web comic, and I really wanted to put it to action, but maintaining a good quality comic with reasonable updates is a monumental task. I decided that the best and most efficient option was to build a team of talented and trustworthy co-workers.
The premise of the comic is that a few kids/teens (ages not yet decided) find a small portable time machine and accidentally travel to a horrible dystopia in the distant future. I shall not dispose any details in case this thing actually gets some readers in the near future.
To really get this thing going, I will need two or three people to help me with the art. I can do a large portion, but certain pictures may need refinement or details. Also, some things can be handed off to you to do so we get more work done.
I am looking for variety of possible styles of art, but it must be cartoon-ish or look like it might belong in a comic. The best case scenario for the style of art would be something that has the clean flowy look of adventure time and/or the simplicity of homestuck.
Basic terms: I can reject your application. I maintain the right to remove you from the team if you prove yourself unworthy. You will know many, many spoilers. DO NOT SPILL ANY SPOILERS. You can quit at any time, no strings attached. If you have an idea for the plot (after you're accepted), you can share with me, but if it contradicts my plan, then it will be shot down (please don't pitch a fit). If one of my ideas really sucks, please tell me (mods). You will become a mod. Do not abuse this privilege.
When applying, please use this format:
1. First name (or whatever you'd like to be called in casual conversation)
2. How much experience do you have with digital art?
3. Do you have at least 30 minutes to use every day (except Sunday and Monday) in the window of 5pm-12am?
4. Email address. (or you can PM me)
5. Show me pictures of at least 5 drawings (can be pictures of paper that you've drawn on for all I care, just as long as it shows your capability) No anime. None. At all. Or fan art that depicts a scene from where its from. ie no copying.
Thanks!
-Finn
